The film Ad Astra tells the story of astronaut Roy McBride's journey from Earth to distant Neptune. His father disappeared on an expedition to explore the depths of space and detect alien signals. Years later, destructive energy pulses began to emanate from the mission's equipment, threatening the entire solar system. So Roy sets out on a long journey to find out what happened to his father and save humanity. First, he gets to the Moon, where he takes part in a lunar rovers race. Then he flies to Mars. Space in the film is often silent - because in real space there is no sound. Some of the technology in the film is fantasy, but it inspires thinking about the future of science.
