The film Arrival tells the story about how aliens (that look like octopuses) arrived on Earth, but they are not evil at all - they arrived to help people. The main character Dr. Louise Banks (depicted in the coloring page) is a linguist, that is, a scientist who studies languages. She helps to understand the aliens' language. Their symbols are round, like ink rings and are read not from left to right, but all at once. This language allows us to describe the past and the future simultaneously. And time in the film is not direct, but as if twisted (like the alien language): events can happen "forward and backward" at the same time. The film shows how language can influence thinking - this is an interesting idea that inspires new thinking. Another miracle is that different countries cooperated in order to understand aliens and managed to prevent war - an important lesson for real countries.
