Avengers: Doomsday is yet another Marvel superhero film about yet another Multiversal catastrophe. The primary antagonist is brilliant scientist Doctor Doom (not to be confused with Iron Man), who seeks to halt the destruction of the universes by imposing his own order. To oppose him, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and other superheroes must join forces, though conflicts occasionally arise among them. The Gambit faces off against Shang-Chi, Mystique battles Yelena Belova and Professor Xavier’s school is left in ruins. Thor attempts to stop Doom, only to realize that this superhero is more powerful than any foe he faced before. In the end the film is setting the stage for.... the next film - Avengers: Secret Wars.
