"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is a children's book by British author Roald Dahl (written in 1964). It is a story about a boy Charlie who lives in a poor family, in a small house with his parents and grandparents. The family is so poor that they eat almost only cabbage soup and Charlie gets chocolate only once a year - for his birthday. One day, the mysterious owner of the chocolate factory, Willy Wonka, decides to invite five lucky people to his factory and puts 5 golden tickets in chocolate bars. Charlie, by a lucky chance, finds one ticket and together with four other children, gets the opportunity to see the wonders of the factory. There they see chocolate river, chewing gum with a "full meal", squirrels that sort nuts and much more. Other children turn out to be greedy, spoiled or selfish and eventually get "lessons" from the factory itself. In the end, Willy Wonka chooses Charlie as the heir to the factory - for his honesty and modesty.
