Elena Rybakina is a famous Kazakhstani tennis player. She was born in 1999 and began playing tennis at the age of six. Her parents enrolled her in a tennis club because she was very active and wanted her to play sports. Elena was very tall and her coaches initially advised her to try basketball, but she chose tennis and it was the right decision. Elena attended school and played tennis every day. Sometimes she had to do homework right between practices and competitions. In 2022 she won one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world - Wimbledon. This was the first victory for Kazakhstan in the history of tennis. Then in 2025 Elena won the WTA Finals. She is known by her calm and modest character. Even when she wins she rarely celebrates loudly that is why she is called the "Ice Queen of Tennis". She also has a very powerful serve because it is high. Elena loves animals - she has a dog and often says she misses it when she travels to tournaments.
