Elina Svitolina is a famous Ukrainian tennis player (and the wife of Gaël Monfils). She was born in 1994 and began playing tennis at age 5 – she was inspired by her older brother, whom parents wanted to make a professional tennis player. But it turned out the other way around – Elina outplayed her brother. From childhood, she was helped by her ability to never give up. At 16 she won the French Open Junior Championships. In 2018 Elina entered the top 5 best players in the world and won the WTA Finals. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics Elina won a bronze medal. She and Monfils have a daughter named Sky. Elina often says that her daughter inspires her to play even better. Elina loves helping children – she runs a charitable foundation that helps young athletes from Ukraine develop their talents.
