Game of Thrones (or more precisely, A Song of Ice and Fire) is an interesting book by George Martin and a super-popular TV series. This is not just a story, but a whole fictional world with its history, characters and locations. The action takes place in the country of Westeros, where several noble houses are fighting for power after the death of King Robert Baratheon. The Starks from the North are drawn into the political intrigues with the Lannisters, Daenerys Targaryen (with her dragons) in exile gathers forces to reclaim the throne and an ancient supernatural threat awakens behind the Wall in the north.
