Hercules is a fantastic Disney's animated film (1997). It tells the story of the ancient Greek hero Hercules who was born in the family of gods Zeus and Hera, but due to the machinations of his evil uncle Hades (who wanted to take over Olympus) he became a demigod with residual superpowers. Therefore he must become a true hero to regain his immortality and place on Mount Olympus. With the help of the satyr Philoctetes and his faithful winged horse Pegasus, Hercules begins training, becoming agile and resilient. He soon gains fame throughout Greece by destroying all the monsters in the area. While accomplishing his feats, Hercules falls in love with the mysterious girl Meg. It later turns out that Meg sold her soul to Hades and, as his agent, was searching for Hercules' weakness all this time, but she herself falls in love with him.
The cartoon Hercules shows the setting of Ancient Greece around 600 BC: massive temples and sanctuaries of Zeus and other gods, city squares with crowds of citizens, markets and public performances, training grounds where athletes trained.
