Huening Kai, a delightful concoction of dazzling talent and international charm, entered the universe in 2002, in Honolulu, Hawaii—a place that clearly had no idea it was birthing a multilingual, music-playing phenomenon. As the son of a musician and the youngest of three, he spent his early years mastering the piano, the guitar, and, presumably, the fine art of being impossibly lovable. Boasting a heritage as delightfully mixed as a particularly ambitious cocktail—German, Polish and Korean—Kai eventually found his way to Big Hit Entertainment, where his unique sparkle led to his debut with TXT on March 4, 2019. Now affectionately dubbed the “diamond maknae” (translation: youngest cosmic gem), he inspires kids everywhere to embrace their differences, learn lots of languages and never underestimate the power of a well-timed smile.
