Lionel Messi is a famous Argentine footballer, some people say - the best of all time. He was born in 1987 and started playing football when he was just five years old. His first club was a small team coached by his father. He was so small as a child that doctors even prescribed special injections to help him grow. When he was 13, he moved to Spain to play for the Barcelona academy and the next thing you know, he won everything there is to win in football and got the FIFA Ballon d'Or eight times - more than anyone in history. Leo is married to his childhood sweetheart, Antonela and has a huge and kind dog named Hulk. Besides football Messi does many good things, for exmaple he helps sick children through his charity foundation.
