The Martian movie (and book) is telling about astronaut Mark Watney (depicted in the coloring page), who was left and survived on Mars alone. He is a botanist and engineer, so he was able to figure out how to grow potatoes right in the Martian soil so not to die of hunger. He uses his wits and ingenuity to fix equipment and survive, for example, he establishes communication with Earth using an old Mars rover communication module. Scientists on Earth worked together to save him and finally succeed. It is science fiction, but there is a lot of real science in it. Many of the ideas in the film can be explained by school physics and biology.
