Natural Language Processing or NLP, is the science of teaching computers to speak human without constantly embarrassing themselves. It’s the digital equivalent of hiring a translator who insists they totally understand sarcasm and metaphors, even if they occasionally confuse “I’m dying of laughter” with a medical emergency. Thanks to NLP, chatbots can now chat, virtual assistants can assist and autocorrect can gleefully transform your perfectly sensible text into absolute nonsense.
