This is a coloring page of Neil Armstrong - American astronaut who was the first person on the Moon. He was born in 1930 when space travel was just a fantasy and even airplanes weren't so common. Once Neil's dad took him to watch air show and this inspired his interest in planes and flying. Armstrong took his first flight in an airplane when he was only 6 years old (I hope he was just sitting on the pilot's lap). Neil became a pilot at age 16, even before he had a driver's license. In 1969, he flew to the Moon with NASA's Apollo 11 mission and when he took his famous first step on the Moon surface - he said: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
Neil trained hard for years to become an astronaut and achieved such a great success. I think this is a good example for kids. I hope this coloring page can inspirit kids to follow their passion and make dreams come true. I've also added the name "Neil Armstrong" to this page so that kids learn letters while coloring them.
