Big Hero 6 is set in the wonderfully chaotic city of San Fransokyo, where sushi meets sourdough and robots are both medical marvels and oversized marshmallows. Hiro Hamada, a young inventor with a knack for creating tech that could either change the world or blow it up, teams up with his inflatable robot buddy, Baymax. Baymax, designed for hugs and healing, is more concerned with your pain level than anything else, constantly asking, “On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your pain?”
When disaster strikes and a villain named Yokai appears, Hiro assembles a ragtag team of nerdy heroes: Go Go Tomago, who’s fast and fierce; Wasabi, a perfectionist with laser weapons; Honey Lemon, a sweet genius with a ton of gadgets; Fred, a big-hearted comic book fan with a superhero costume; and of course, Baymax. What follows is a thrilling adventure of tech, friendship and unexpected lessons in grief, where Hiro learns that the best way to fight evil isn’t with tech alone, but with heart. And a giant inflatable robot, of course.
