Orion and the Dark coloring pages

Orion was the sort of boy who could worry about a butterfly flapping its wings too loudly. He feared falling, embarrassment, killer clowns, and—most of all—the Dark. Not just darkness in general, mind you, but The Dark, as if it were some mysterious entity plotting his mildly uncomfortable demise. Which, as it turns out, it sort of was. Except instead of plotting doom, The Dark just wanted to have a pleasant chat and perhaps show Orion the delightful ins and outs of nighttime without all the usual screaming.

So begins an absurdly charming tale in which a small, anxious boy is whisked away by a large, shadowy figure who is equal parts terrifying silhouette and misunderstood philosopher. Along the way, they bump into other nocturnal oddballs—Sleep, who is always late; Dream, who doesn’t do reruns; and Unexplained Noises, who doesn’t explain anything, obviously. Through all this, Orion discovers that fear is mostly just imagination doing cartwheels in the dark and that maybe, just maybe, the scariest things are also the ones most worth understanding. A heart-glowingly funny journey reminding us that the unknown is usually more peculiar than perilous—and that even shadows need a friend.
