Peter Sagan, a Slovakian cycling prodigy born in 1990, in Žilina, could easily be described as the kind of chap who’d not only ride a bicycle through a swirling vortex of improbability but also emerge on the other side wearing seven green jerseys, just because he felt like it. Growing up with three older siblings and occasionally borrowing his sister’s bike after his own gave up on life, young Peter pedaled his way into professional cycling at the age of 19, leaving everyone else wondering if they’d accidentally signed up for the wrong sport. Known as the "Tourminator," not because he destroys races (though he does) but because he wins them while grinning like a man who’s just discovered chocolate is calorie-free, Sagan somehow inspires kids to both train harder and enjoy themselves, proving that with the right mix of talent, humor and ridiculous stunts, even the most ordinary of pedals can lead to extraordinary places.
