The Croods is very funny animated film from DreamWorks Studios, released in 2013. The story follows a family of pre-historic humans, the Croods, who live by the strict rules of their cautious father, Grug. Their familiar world changes when they meet more advanced man named Guy and are forced to search for a new place after their home is destroyed. Guy shows the Croods that the world can be exciting and wondrous, not scary. Their journey becomes a true adventure. The Croods encounter funny and strange creatures, find themselves in dangerous, funny and unexpected situations, quarrel, make up and learn to work together. They stop being afraid and begin to believe that life is not only about survival but also the joy of discovery. The cartoon depicts people who lived around 12,000 years ago after the Ice Age when the climate became warmer. Of course, the cartoon features many fantastical animals that never existed, but it does feature saber-toothed tigers, which actually coexisted with humans. And at least there are no dinosaurs or mammoths, which had already become extinct by the end of the Ice Age.
