The King of Kings coloring pages
King of Kings is an animated film based on the children's book by Charles Dickens. It is a retelling of the life of Jesus, who, despite having the power to rule over everyone, spends most of his time performing incredible miracles, such as restoring sight to the blind, raising the dead, walking on a leash and feeding huge crowds with bread and fish. The action takes place in ancient Judea, which is remarkably similar to the sun-scorched desert. The book retells the biblical story of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, the arrival of the Magi, the family's flight to Egypt to escape the persecution of King Herod, his return and arrest - up to the resurrection. Dickens speaks to children, urging them to remember the lessons of Jesus, to be kind, honest and to love God and their neighbors. He says that faith in Christ makes a person truly good.

As we know now, Jesus was born in Israel in 1 AD, meaning that his birth marked the beginning of the year counting system we use today. But no one knew this back then. The AD/BC system was invented only in the sixth century by the monk Dionysius Exiguus. At that time, Roman mathematics didn't have the number Zero, so he figured that the year of Jesus's birth was 1 AD (Anno Domini). And before it, there was year 1 BC (Before Christ). So, there was no 0 AD year. Although this doesn't make sense, scholars didn't change anything.
