Tzuyu, a dazzlingly talented individual hailing from the subtropical splendor of Tainan, Taiwan, was born in 1999—though, in the grand scheme of the universe, it was probably just an average Monday. With a brother somewhere in the timeline and parents busily running a business, young Tzuyu spent her early days honing her dance moves, blissfully unaware she’d soon become the youngest member—or "maknae"—of TWICE, a K-pop group so wildly popular it could probably make a pot plant famous by association. Spotted by talent scouts in Taiwan while flailing about (artistically), she relocated to South Korea at the tender age of 13, where she trained harder than a caffeinated hamster on a wheel for two grueling years before debuting in 2015. Known for her serene beauty, relentless work ethic and enviable ability to stay humble despite legions of adoring fans, Tzuyu is living proof that with a little talent, determination and possibly the ability to charm planets, you too can inspire people across the galaxy—or at least kids who really like dancing.
