Vuelta is one of the three most prestigious multi-day cycling races in the world, along with the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. It is held annually in Spain and usually lasts 3 weeks. Vuelta is traditionally famous for its mountain stages: the route often includes steep climbs (for example, the legendary Angliru or Covadonga). Unlike the Tour de France, it includes many short but very steep finishing climbs. The race also includes individual and team time trials, but there are fewer of them than mountain stages. Therefore, the polka-dot jersey (white with blue polka dots), which is given to the best climber, is almost as honorable as the red jersey of the leader. Among the winners of Vuelta are many cycling legends - Alberto Contador, Chris Froome, Primoz Roglic.
