Usually, when we throw out trash, we separate organic waste from inorganic waste, which is mostly plastic (bags, packaging, bottles). We also put glass jars and bottles separately and metal items separately too. Why do we do this? So that this trash can be recycled and not simply dumped in a landfill, where it will pollute our planet. After all, if all the trash is mixed up, no one will want to dig through it and when you put something in the trash, it's most easy moment to put it in the right bag. Someday, robots will appear that will be able to sort trash themselves at recycling plants and then we won't necessarily have to sort it (we'll just pay for the robots' work).
